Travel Guide for Argentina

Argentina is a huge country and spans throughout many climate zones. Depending on where you are planning to travel, the recommended season can be different. In general December to March is the best time. If you are planning to visit Central Argentina, you can also try April or October. June through august should be avoided if you are not a fan of wet weather. Be sure to check the weather forecast on weather.com when you are planning for the trip.

Transportation: Uber service is less regulated in Argentina compared to other countries, and the app is sometimes not usable when your phone is connected to the Airport wifi. If you are looking for ride-share alternatives, Cabify, Easy Taxi (also owned by Cabify), and Didi are some options.

Stays: Booking.com and Airbnb are popular platforms people use to book their stays from. ArgentinaAlquileres is a local website in Argentina to help you compare apartment rentals, cabins, or hotels from multiple sources for the best rate.

Visas: US citizens are not required to obtain a Argentina visa for tourist or business travel as long as the stay is not longer than 90 days. Please refer to the Argentina International Travel Information page for travel alerts and details. If you need to reach out to the local US embassy when you are in Argentina, please follow the information on the US Embassy in Argentina website.
